Savannah- Ava Braswell Bowen, 77, died Thursday, October 06, 2011 at Hospice Savannah, Inc.
She was born in Spindale, NC and lived in Savannah most of her life. She was a longtime active member of Windsor Forest Country Club and the Landings Bridge Club.
She is survived by her daughters, Tina Braswell Fripp of Port Royal, SC, Leslie Braswell Parrish of Savannah, Kay Braswell Dawson Michael of Lawrenceville, GA; step sons, Mark Stephen Bowen Barbara Luna of Columbia, SC, Douglas Haile Bowen Susan Holland of Fountain Inn, SC; grandchildren, Celia Fripp DelValle Vincent of Alexandria, VA, John William Fripp of Nashville, TN, Audrey Parrish Triana Fabian of Nashville, TN, Vincent Parrish of Columbia, SC, Ashley Dawson of Lawrenceville, GA, Robert Dawson of Lawrenceville, GA; step-grandchildren, McKenzie Bowen Murray John of Columbia, SC, Keyton Bowen Miles Dan of Lexington, SC, Lauren Emily Bowen of Fountain Inn, SC, Hailey Denise Bowen of Fountain Inn, SC; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Blake Triana of Nashville, TN.
The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with Reverend John Haney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
